My father shipped out on the SS Brazil on December 7, 1941 on his way to sign up with the Royal Canadian Air Force with every intention of flying in support of the United Kingdom. He was very relieved to find out on the day of his departure that the United States would be joining the fight!

My dad was master of several freighters during WWII and I have his log book. He shipped out of both east and west coast ports. I am now trying to find information on the voyages themselves. I know the dates, the ships and the ports from which he departed but I do not have information on the destinations (other than "foreign";). Are the ships logs available somewhere?

My uncle Paul Grepp worked on this ship. I have a ceramic plate that is a photo of the S.S. Argentina maiden voyage. I don't know what it's called, however it's hand painted and in the original box, with gold trim on the edges of the "plate" . 1958
